Softball Recap: Classical Purple vs. Times Squared Academy Eagles
On Wednesday, Classical faced Times Squared Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Classical Purple fell just short of the Times Squared Academy Eagles by a score of 11-10. Classical has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Classical saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kayleana Curran, who got a hit.
Classical's loss dropped their record down to 4-2-1. As for Times Squared Academy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-1-1.
Classical will be playing in front of their home fans against Central Falls at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Central Falls knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with flashy run totals in its past seven matchups -- so hopefully Classical likes a good challenge. As for Times Squared Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against Hope at 4:45 p.m. on Friday.
