Baseball Recap: Brentwood School Takes a Loss

Brentwood School was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 13-12 heartbreaker at the hands of the Troy Warriors.

Brentwood School got a good showing from Logan Serpa, who pitched three innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits.

On the hitting side, Owen Boelke was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two). Hudson Chase was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

Brentwood School's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Troy, they pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Looking ahead, Brentwood School will take on Coastal Academy in a tournament on the 31st. As for Troy, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Bloomington at 3:30 p.m. Troy's pitchers better be ready for this one: Bloomington has averaged an impressive 8.9 runs per game this season.
