Baseball Recap: Lake Placid Takes a Loss

Lake Placid came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 17-1 to the St. Albans Bulldogs.

Lake Placid saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Griffin Von Merveldt, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance gave Von Merveldt a new career-high in hits.

Lake Placid's record is now 5-8. As for St. Albans, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

While Lake Placid had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
