Football Recap: Mountain Vista Takes Down Ranked Arapahoe + How To Watch

Mountain Vista faced Arapahoe in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Golden Eagles never let the Warriors get on the board and left with a 20-0 win. The Golden Eagles haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Mountain Vista's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Marquise Reese led the charge by throwing for 232 yards and three touchdowns, while also rushing for 30 yards. That's the most rushing yards Reese has posted since back in September of 2024. Mountain Vista's leading receiver Ja'Pree Jennings was Reese's top target yet again, picking up 90 receiving yards and one TD.

Mountain Vista didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Lucas Conklin and Ryder Adams. Conklin has been hot recently, having also posted five or more total tackles the last three times he's played. Quillan Gulick was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making nine total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Mountain Vista's win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mountain Vista will host Erie at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Arapahoe, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Heritage at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
