Baseball Recap: Cedar Comes Up Short

Cedar came into this matchup off a tough 13-run loss on Tuesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Crimson Cliffs Mustangs by a score of 12-10 on Wednesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Reds in their meetings with the Mustangs: they've now lost nine in a row.

Karver Tom made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Boyer, who went 2-for-4 with one triple and one RBI.

Cedar's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Crimson Cliffs, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

While Cedar had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
