Naselle had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Wahkiakum on Thursday. The Comets put the hurt on the Mules with a sharp 11-1 victory. Considering the Comets have won seven matchups by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Naselle's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-4. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Wahkiakum, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-6.
