Medway and Millis are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2019, but likely not for long. The Mustangs will be playing at home against the Mohawks at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Medway has given up an average of 8 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Things were looking good for Medway after they put the first runs on the board on Friday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They came up short against Nipmuc Regional, falling 13-5. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bryanna Frauton and Gracie Delucia stepped up to the plate in a big way. Frauton scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Delucia went 2-for-3 with one triple and one run. Frauton also put up an RBI, which was her first of the season.

Meanwhile, Millis faced Medfield in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Mohawks blew past the Warriors 16-3. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Mohawks considering their one-run performance the game before.

Mia Vasta was a major factor no matter where she played. She tossed seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. Vasta was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-5.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Emilia Leach, who went 4-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Macy Ingraham, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Millis was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .421. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Medway's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Millis, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-3 record.
