Basketball Game Preview: Redwood Valley Cardinals vs. Worthington Trojans

The Redwood Valley Cardinals and the Worthington Trojans will compete for holiday cheer at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Redwood Valley's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Last Friday, Redwood Valley was able to grind out a solid victory over Luverne, taking the game 84-77.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 76-37, which was the final score in Worthington's tilt against Marshall on Friday.

Redwood Valley pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 87.7 points per game. As for Worthington, they now have a losing record at 1-2.

Redwood Valley came up short against Worthington when the teams last played back in February, falling 79-73. Can Redwood Valley avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
