Basketball Recap: Northwest Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Northwest challenged Hazelwood West on Tuesday. The Lions took a 53-35 bruising from the Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 48-39 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2024.

Northwest is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3. As for Hazelwood West, their victory ended an eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-4.

Northwest has already played their next game (against Affton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Hazelwood West will take on Liberty in a holiday battle at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
