Basketball Recap: Parkway Center City Bulldogs vs. Vaux Big Picture

The Parkway Center City Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight defeat. They took a 53-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of Vaux Big Picture. Parkway Center City found out winning isn't easy when you're outrebounded 26 to 9 on offense.

Despite the loss, Parkway Center City still got an impressive performance from Israel Mckinley, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Khalil Evans, who scored nine points.

It was another big night for Cameron Rembert, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 19 rebounds for Vaux Big Picture. Rembert is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down nine or more in the last six games he's played. Kurtis Jackson was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Parkway Center City has not been sharp recently as the team's lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season. As for Vaux Big Picture, they pushed their record up to 12-9 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home.

Parkway Center City won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the at 3:15 p.m. on February 2nd. As for Vaux Big Picture, they will head out on the road to challenge the Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sankofa Freedom Academy is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.
