Soccer Recap: University Comes Up Short

University fought the good fight in their overtime game against Pine Ridge on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Pine Ridge Panthers by a score of 2-1. Sadly, that's the third time they've come up short against the Titans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in December of 2024.

University's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8-2. As for Pine Ridge, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. University will welcome Winter Springs at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. University's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end. As for Pine Ridge, they will be playing at home against Deltona at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
