Volleyball Game Preview: Patrick Henry Patriots vs. Santa Fe Christian Eagles

Patrick Henry is 0-4 against Santa Fe Christian since September of 2017 but things could change on Saturday. The Patriots will take on the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Saturday.

Patrick Henry is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Mt. Carmel as they made off with a 3-0 win. Winning may never get old, but the Patriots sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

While Patrick Henry might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Mt. Carmel scored at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-18, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Santa Fe Christian hadn't done well against La Costa Canyon recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Mavericks. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Eagles have posted against the Mavericks since November 12, 2016.

While Santa Fe Christian won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-17, 26-24.

Patrick Henry's win bumped their record up to 27-13. As for Santa Fe Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 19-11.

Patrick Henry came up short against Santa Fe Christian in their previous matchup back in September of 2023, falling 2-0. Can the Patriots avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
