Basketball Recap: Camp Verde Extends Home Winning Streak to Nine

Camp Verde had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 55-51 W against the Rancho Solano Prep Mustangs. For the Cowboys, this counts as revenge for the 63-49 win the Mustangs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2021.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Camp Verde to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jordan McMahon-Fullmer, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten boards. The contest was McMahon-Fullmer's third in a row with at least 18 points. Julian Perez was another key player, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds.

Camp Verde's victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-11. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.6 points over those games. As for Rancho Solano Prep, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 15-9 record this season.
