Valley Christian has gone 8-2 against St. Ignatius College Preparatory recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Warriors will welcome the Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Valley Christian has four straight victories, St. Ignatius College Preparatory has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Valley Christian's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past Presentation 14-0. Considering the Warriors have won ten contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Makena Blauman, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Gabrielle Ho, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Valley Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .552. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Presentation only posted an OBP of .118.

Meanwhile, St. Ignatius College Preparatory fell victim to Archbishop Mitty and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 4-0 to the Monarchs, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

St. Ignatius College Preparatory's loss dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Valley Christian, their win bumped their record up to 13-3.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Valley Christian has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.4 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like St. Ignatius College Preparatory struggles in that department as they've been averaging 9.6 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.

Valley Christian took their victory against St. Ignatius College Preparatory in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 11-1 score. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
