Softball Recap: Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy Takes a Loss

Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy came up short against the Hesperia Scorpions on Tuesday, falling 15-5. Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Hesperia, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-6-1.

Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Riverside Prep at 3:15 p.m. on April 1st. The contest will give Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season. As for Hesperia, they will square off against Academy for Academic Excellence at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Academy for Academic Excellence is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5 runs per game this season.
