Softball Game Preview: Castleberry Lions vs. Lake Worth Bullfrogs

The Castleberry Lions will challenge the Lake Worth Bullfrogs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Castleberry and 14 for Lake Worth.

Castleberry lost 15-2 to Burkburnett on Tuesday.

Madalynn Michaels made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and fired off two home runs while going 2-for-2.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Lake Worth's offense. They came up short against Bridgeport on Monday, falling 18-0. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Castleberry's defeat dropped their record down to 6-20-1. As for Lake Worth, their loss dropped their record down to 2-18.

Everything went Castleberry's way against Lake Worth in their previous meeting back in March, as Castleberry made off with a 14-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
