It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Oxford Prep ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Vance Charter Knights 6-5. The Griffins haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Bryson Preddy was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two triples, three RBI, and two runs. Those two triples gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Tanner Abbott, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.

Oxford Prep's record is now 11-5. As for Vance Charter, their record now sits at 8-8.

Oxford Prep will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Knights: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
