Soccer Recap: Foothill Plays to a Tie

On Friday, the Foothill Trojans and the Mira Monte Lions finished up their match with a 1-1 draw.

Foothill's goal came courtesy of Angell Cortes, who's now up to two this season.

With that draw, Foothill's record moves to 9-6-3. Meanwhile, Mira Monte's record is now 12-3-2.

Foothill will look to defend their home pitch on Wednesday against West at 6:00 p.m. Foothill's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end. As for Mira Monte, they will head out to challenge Golden Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Golden Valley has won three straight at home, while Mira Monte won six straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
