Softball Recap: Grantsville Cowboys vs. Morgan Trojans
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Tooele, Grantsville was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They walked away with an 8-5 win over the Morgan Trojans. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Grantsville also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2023.
The team relied heavily on Eden Ressel, who went 3-for-3 with a home run, three RBI, and two runs. Brynn Anderson was another key contributor, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.
On Morgan's side, they saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lexi Hardman, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.
Grantsville pushed their record up to 6-8 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs per game. As for Morgan, their loss dropped their record down to 8-2.
Grantsville will head out on the road to square off against Ogden at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Morgan, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against South Summit at 3:30 p.m.
