Recap: Oroville Tigers vs. Pierce Bears
The Oroville Tigers were the 50-30 winner over the Pierce Bears when they last played one another back in November of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Oroville took a 58-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of Pierce on Wednesday. Oroville has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Oroville's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ethan Broussard, who scored 18 points along with 8 rebounds. Broussard scored a full 36% of Oroville's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Kevin Taylor, who scored 15 points along with 3 steals.
Oroville's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Pierce, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Oroville will face off against Live Oak at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Pierce, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Pioneer at 8:00 p.m. Hopefully Pioneer focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Wednesday.
