Arvada West had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They never let the Bear Creek Bears get on the board and left with a 5-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the Wildcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Cooper Vais was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over six innings pitched. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Beau Friesen was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Arvada West hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bear Creek struck out 11 times.

Arvada West pushed their record up to 10-2-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Bear Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-9.

Arvada West will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bears: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
