Volleyball Recap: East Troy Falls Despite Big Games from Carli Murphy and Madi Wojciuch

If East Troy was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Monroe on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Trojans took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Waukesha North Northstars on Saturday.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Waukesha North scored at least 17 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-21.

East Troy's loss came despite strong showings from Madi Wojciuch and Carli Murphy. Wojciuch had five aces and three digs, while Murphy had five digs. Wojciuch has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last four times she's played.

East Troy's defeat dropped their record down to 14-16. As for Waukesha North, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-14.

Coincidentally, East Troy and Waukesha North will both be playing Kenosha Christian Life the next time they take the court. The Northstars will host the Eagles at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Trojans will play them later in the day, at 12:30 p.m.
