Softball Recap: Park City Comes Up Short

Park City extended their losing streak to five on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 3-11 in the process. They lost 19-11 to the Jordan Beetdiggers. Even though they lost, the Miners' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.4 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Dylan Radziukinas led a balanced group of hitters, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one double, and one RBI. Madeline Reddy was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

As for Jordan, their win ended a 13-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-14. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

On Jordan's side, Kate Judd was incredible, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Judd continues to improve, besting her previous run total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Olivia Judd, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three stolen bases and four runs.

Looking ahead, Park City will square off against Cottonwood at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Colts have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.17 runs per game on average), something the Miners will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Jordan, they will face off against Green Canyon at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wolves have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.19 runs per game on average), something the Beetdiggers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
