Football Game Preview: Thayer Academy Tigers vs. Noble & Greenough Bulldogs

The Thayer Academy Tigers will head out on the road to challenge the Noble & Greenough Bulldogs at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Thayer Academy will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

It was a proper cat-fight when Thayer Academy duked it out with St. Mark's on Saturday. The Tigers never let the Lions get on the board and left with a 14-0 win.

It was another big night for Drew St.Pierre, who rushed for 84 yards and one TD, and also picked up 31 receiving yards.

Thayer Academy's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. Leading the way was Christopher Cj Talabi-Oates Jr with three sacks. Thayer Academy is undefeated when Cj Talabi-Oates Jr posts two or more sacks, but 1-2 otherwise. Neil MacKinnon got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, in a tight game that could have gone either way, Noble & Greenough made off with a 24-23 victory over Lawrence Academy. The win continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Spartans: they've now won three in a row.

Thayer Academy's record now sits at 4-2. As for Noble & Greenough, their record is now an identical 4-2.

Things could have been worse for Thayer Academy, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 21-7 loss to Noble & Greenough in their previous meeting back in September of 2024. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
