Peck is 0-10 against Kingston since April of 2017 but things could change on Thursday. The Pirates will look to defend their home field against the Cardinals at 4:00 p.m. Peck is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 12.5 runs per game this season.

Peck's usually-dominant pitching crew will be looking to make up for Monday's struggle, when Croswell-Lexington hitters got past them. The Pirates came up short against the Pioneers on Monday, falling 12-5. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ava Collins was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Meanwhile, Kingston waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 7-3 victory over the Chiefs.

Kingston got a big performance out of Brianna Rayl, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Lauren Krug was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI.

Kingston was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive matchups.

Kingston's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Peck, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-2.

Kingston's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Thursday. Peck has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.8 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Kingston, though, as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.3 strikeouts. Will Peck keep running through batters, or will the Cardinals buck the trend?
