Football Recap: Perry Central Sets Scoring Season-High Against Clarksville

Perry Central extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to seven on Friday, dropping them down to 0-6. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 34-32 heartbreaker at the hands of the Clarksville Generals. On the bright side, the 32- point effort marked the Commodores' highest-scoring contest to date.

As for Clarksville, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-3 record. Their offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last three games.

A big part of Clarksville's victory came down to the chemistry between Caleb Hawkins and his top target Anthony Moss. Hawkins threw for 315 yards and five TDs while completing 75% of his passes while Moss picked up 188 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. Moss showed off some serious burst, cutting upfield on a catch for 55 yards.

Perry Central didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 49-8 defeat against West Washington on the 3rd. As for Clarksville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 70-7 loss against Scottsburg on the 3rd.
