Basketball Game Preview: Mayville Cardinals vs. North Fond du Lac Orioles

Mayville is on a three-game streak of home losses, North Fond du Lac a nine-game streak of away losses dating back to last season, but someone's luck will change on Friday. The Mayville Cardinals will host the North Fond du Lac Orioles at 7:00 p.m. North Fond du Lac took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Mayville, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with eight losses in a row, Mayville turned things around against Clinton on Saturday. They came out on top against the Cougars by a score of 55-46. The Cardinals' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, North Fond du Lac lost to Lourdes on the road by a 55-38 margin on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Orioles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 239th, while the Knights are ranked 64th).

North Fond du Lac's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Mayville, their victory bumped their record up to 2-8.
