Recap: Shadow Creek Sharks vs. Dawson Eagles
Make it 11 blowout wins for the Shadow Creek Sharks this season. They were the clear victor by a 70-49 margin over Dawson. Winning may never get old, but Shadow Creek sure is getting used to it with their 13th in a row.
It was another big night for Michael Collins, who scored 33 points along with six rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Shadow Creek's points. Kaden Tate was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with eight rebounds and five steals.
Despite the loss, Dawson still got an impressive performance from Charles Anderson, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Braylon Howard, who scored 11 points.
Shadow Creek is on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 17 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 21-2 record this season. As for Dawson, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-7.
Shadow Creek will take on Alief Taylor at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Alief Taylor is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Dawson, they will take on Alief Elsik at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Alief Elsik will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 501st, while Dawson is ranked 55th).
