Palisades had won two straight games and Brooklyn Young did her part to make it three on Tuesday. The Pumas enjoyed a cozy 64-49 win over the Rocky River Ravens with plenty of help from Young, who shot 4-for-6 from deep and dropped a double-double with 19 points and ten rebounds. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played.
Meyah Brown was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 12 points and nine boards. She has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times she's played.
Despite the loss, Rocky River saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jade Bell dropped a double-double with 34 points and ten boards. With that strong performance, Bell is now averaging an impressive 8 rebounds per game. Another player making a difference was Salia Hector, who posted seven points and five boards.
Palisades' victory bumped their record up to 11-12. As for Rocky River, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-17 record this season.
