Basketball Game Preview: Chambers/Wheeler Central Renegades vs. Stuart Broncos

The Chambers/Wheeler Central Renegades are taking a road trip to square off against the Stuart Broncos at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Chambers/Wheeler Central is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Elgin/Pope John on Saturday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Chambers/Wheeler Central was dealt a 65-34 loss at the hands of Elgin/Pope John. The Renegades were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-19.

Chambers/Wheeler Central's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Annabel Waldo, who posted seven points and five boards, and Savannah Hansen, who put up seven points. That's the most points Hansen has posted since back in December of 2024.

Stuart has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 49-43 heartbreaker at the hands of North Central.

Stuart's loss dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Chambers/Wheeler Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-10 record this season.

Chambers/Wheeler Central came up short against Stuart when the teams last played back in January, falling 47-42. Can Chambers/Wheeler Central avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
