After a string of three wins, Maxwell's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mt. Shasta Bears.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Mt. Shasta scored at least 20 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-23, 21-25, 25-21.

Maxwell's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Mt. Shasta, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Coming up, Maxwell will venture away from home to take on Durham at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Mt. Shasta, they will welcome Herlong at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
