Baseball Recap: Bellevue West Thunderbirds vs. Elkhorn South Storm
Bellevue West lost against Elkhorn South back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Bellevue West wound up with the same score they had in their last game (6-5), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.

Drew Grego was huge no matter where he played even without the win. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.
In other batting news, CJ Shockey and Aiden Ensor stepped up to the plate in a big way. Shockey went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI, while Ensor scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. That's the most runs Ensor has posted since back in April of 2024.
Bellevue West's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Elkhorn South, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
