Westlake piles up the points against Patuxent

Recap: Westlake Wolverines vs. Patuxent Panthers
The Westlake Wolverines posted their biggest victory yet this season on Wednesday. They blew past Patuxent 69-41 on the road. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 40-19.
Melvin Newman was the offensive standout of the game as he scored 13 points along with seven steals and six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Julius Johnson Jr, who scored six points along with 11 rebounds.
The win makes it two in a row for Westlake and bumps their season record up to 5-7. As for Patuxent, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Westlake will take on Leonardtown at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Patuxent, they will be playing at home against McDonough at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. McDonough is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
