Basketball Recap: Salisbury Now 5-1 over Last Six Games

Salisbury lost to North Rowan back in February, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Salisbury Hornets walked away with a 49-37 victory over the North Rowan Cavaliers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hornets.

Loss or not, North Rowan got some senior leadership from Dasia Elder and Allanah McAuthur. Elder dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds, while McAuthur posted 11 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Elder has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Adrionna King, who had five points.

Salisbury has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.0 points per game. As for North Rowan, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Salisbury won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against North Rowan at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. As for North Rowan, they and Mount Pleasant will face off at 9:00 a.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played.
