Softball Recap: Middletown North Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Middletown North can now relate to. They fell just short of the Middletown South Eagles by a score of 3-1 on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Lions in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost four in a row.

Middletown North's defeat dropped their record down to 12-14. As for Middletown South, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season.

Middletown North does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Middletown South, they will face off against Brick Memorial on Tuesday.
