Basketball Recap: Jackson Skates Past Creekside with Ease

Jackson won the last time they faced Creekside and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Jackson Jaguars blew past the Creekside Seminoles 84-56. The Jaguars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Despite the loss, Creekside saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Daylen Jones posted 19 points. That was a full 33.9% of Creekside's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's scored more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Caden Billingslea, who had eight points and five boards.

Jackson's victory bumped their record up to 17-5. As for Creekside, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 6-21 record this season.

Coming up, Jackson will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Mays at 5:30 p.m. Mays will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Jackson surely won't give up without a fight. Creekside does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
