St. Laurence faced Brother Rice in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Vikings came out on top against the Crusaders by a score of 8-3. This was a revenge game for the Vikings: when they faced off against the Crusaders last Saturday, they had to take a 6-2 defeat.

The victory made it two in a row for St. Laurence and bumps their season record up to 28-5. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Brother Rice, they moved to 30-3 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, St. Laurence will challenge Andrean on Monday. The Fighting 59ers' pitching crew has only allowed 2.5 runs per game this season, so the Vikings' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Brother Rice does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
