There's no place like home for Winfield, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Huntington Highlanders on Tuesday, sneaking past 2-1. For the Generals, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 win the Highlanders walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2023.
Winfield had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-19, 15-6.
Brooklyn Cole paced Winfield's offense, picking up nine kills. Cole were helped by Macee Shock and Kynnlee Mcclure, who contributed ten assists each. Mila Herscher controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
