There's no place like home for Massaponax, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Colonial Forge Eagles a 2-0 shutout on Tuesday. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Massaponax's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked eighth, while Colonial Forge are ranked 75th).

Massaponax pushed their record up to 10-1-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those four contests. As for Colonial Forge, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4-2.
