Langford was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after besting Warner. The Lions came in at 24 in the state poll after placing at number 26 last week.
Ipswich/Edmunds Central lost to Faulkton 44-14 last week, the largest margin of any game. Dustin Northrup threw for 100 yards and 1 touchdown in the loss.
Kurt Beidler was a passing and rushing force as the Trojans beat Ipswich/Edmunds Central. He completed 7 passes for 144 yards and also ran for 33 yards. Beidler's favorite target this week was Cole Baloun, who caught 2 passes for 51 yards.
Baloun was a key player and the best on defense this week as Faulkton defeated Brian Hogie's team. The 5-foot-6 junior nabbed 2 interceptions.
Baloun was the best wideout in Lake Region (9 Man) this week as Shayne Geditz's team topped the Tigers. Baloun tallied 2 receptions for 51 yards. Zach Price helped Faulkton's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 41 yards.
5-foot-8 quarterback Beidler of the Trojans is the league leader in passing yards this season with 666. He has also thrown 6 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Phil Beck. The Ipswich/Edmunds Central star has 15 catches for 283 yards.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Leola/Frederick and Langford. The Titans comes into the matchup ranked first in the state, while Paul Raasch's team ranks 24th.
