Softball Recap: Coosa Christian Comes Up Short

Coosa Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They lost 11-0 to the Fort Payne Wildcats. If the Conquerors were looking for revenge after losing 12-0 to the Wildcats when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Coosa Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Fort Payne, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-8 record this season.

Coosa Christian will challenge Clay-Chalkville at 5:30 p.m. on the 10th. As for Fort Payne, they will square off against Gadsden City at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Titans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.14 runs per game on average), something the Wildcats will no doubt try to take advantage of.
