Softball Recap: Smiths Station Comes Up Short

Smiths Station fell victim to Spanish Fort and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They fell just short of the Toros by a score of 1-0. That's two games in a row now that the Panthers have lost by just one run.

Smiths Station has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12-1 record this season. As for Spanish Fort, they pushed their record up to 26-6 with the win, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Smiths Station will take on Satsuma in a tournament on Friday. As for Spanish Fort, they will be taking part in a tournament against Baker at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
