The home team had won the previous three meetings between Charleston and Ozark, and Charleston kept the tradition alive. The Tigers blew past the Hillbillies 52-20 on Friday. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 38-14.

Carter Little had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 161 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only nine carries, and also threw for 198 yards and three TDs. Deegan Todd was Little's top target, picking up 89 receiving yards and one score.

Charleston's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 12.4 points on average over those games. As for Ozark, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Charleston has already played their next contest, a 56-14 win against Heavener on the 19th. After each having a week off, Ozark and Waldron will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th. The match will give the Hillbillies their first taste of in-conference action this season.
