Basketball Game Preview: King Mustangs vs. Alice Coyotes

The King Mustangs are taking a road trip to challenge the Alice Coyotes at 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.

Last Tuesday, King was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 44-40 to Miller.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Janiya Heard, who posted six points in addition to 15 boards and seven blocks. Those 15 boards gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamila Hernandez, who had seven points along with five assists and five boards.

Meanwhile, Alice came up short against La Vernia on Friday and fell 58-50.

Alice's defeat dropped their record down to 13-9. As for King, their loss dropped their record down to 7-16.

King strolled past Alice in their previous meeting back in November of 2020 by a score of 61-42. Does King have another victory up their sleeve, or will Alice turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
