Volleyball Recap: Paul VI Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Paul VI came tearing into Saturday's matchup with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Loudoun Valley Vikings 3-0. For the Panthers, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 win the Vikings walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2018.

Paul VI was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-19, 25-19.

Leading Paul VI to victory were Olivia LeBlanc and Amanda Dadio. LeBlanc had four digs and two aces, while Dadio had four digs and three assists. What's more, LeBlanc racked up ten assists, the most she's had over her last seven matches.

They weren't the only good servers: Paul VI was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in four consecutive contests.

Paul VI's victory bumped their record up to 15-2. As for Loudoun Valley, they dropped their record down to 5-8 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Paul VI will square off against Bishop O'Connell at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Loudoun Valley, they will face off against Briar Woods at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
