South Point took a six-run defeat the last time they faced off against Portsmouth West, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Pointers never let the Senators get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory on Tuesday. The win was nothing new for the Pointers as they're now sitting on four straight.

Portsmouth West's batters probably weren't too happy with Brayden Hanshaw, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 15 Ks (he gave up four walks). Hanshaw also allowed no hits, which is notable because South Point is undefeated when he allows at most one hit, but 6-7 otherwise.

On the hitting side, South Point's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Layne, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.

South Point's win bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Portsmouth West, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-16.

As of now, neither South Point nor the Senators have any future games scheduled.
