Basketball Preview: Klein Oak Panthers vs. Klein Forest Eagles
The Klein Oak Panthers will head out on the road to take on the Klein Forest Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Klein Oak will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
Even though Tomball Memorial scored an imposing 55 points on Friday, Klein Oak still came out on top. Klein Oak secured a 61-55 W over the Wildcats.
Klein Oak's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Isaiah Walker led the charge by scoring 18 points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Courtland Guillory, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Klein Forest, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 57-41 loss to the Bearkats on Friday. Klein Forest has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Klein Oak has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season. As for Klein Forest, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-10.
Klein Oak was able to grind out a solid victory over the Eagles in their previous matchup back in January, winning 53-41. The rematch might be a little tougher for Klein Oak since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
