Softball Recap: Calvary Baptist Academy Beats West Ouachita for Their 20th Straight Win

Calvary Baptist Academy put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the West Ouachita Chiefs 6-0. The result was nothing new for the Cavaliers, who have now won nine games by six runs or more so far this season.

West Ouachita's batters probably weren't too happy with Addison Willis, who pitched a no hitter and racked up nine Ks (she gave up zero walks). That's the most strikeouts Willis has posted since back in March of 2024.

On the hitting side, Baylor Bockhaus was excellent, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Mallory Carver, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Calvary Baptist Academy pushed their record up to 16-0 with the win, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games. As for West Ouachita, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Calvary Baptist Academy will take on Bentonville in a tournament on Thursday. Calvary Baptist Academy's pitching crew has only allowed 1.1 runs per game this season, so Bentonville's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for West Ouachita, they will be playing at home against Tioga at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
