Nash Central had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.5 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They strolled past the Southern Nash Firebirds with points to spare, taking the game 49-34. 49 seems to be a good number for the Bulldogs as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.

Nash Central's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Marquasia Warren led the charge by going 7 for 16 en route to 14 points. Cameron Fate was another key player, putting up five points and 11 rebounds.

Nash Central smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 14 offensive rebounds in three consecutive matchups.

Despite the loss, Southern Nash still got an impressive performance from Terri Richardson, who posted ten points and four steals. The dominant performance also gave Richardson a new career-high in assists (two). Another player making a difference was LJ Hinnant, who scored seven points along with eight boards and three steals.

Nash Central has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.4 points per game. As for Southern Nash, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-7.

Nash Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 49-39 win against Franklinton on the 28th. Southern Nash has also already played their next match, a 62-20 loss against Rocky Mount on the 27th.
