Softball Recap: Fort Bend Christian Academy Has No Trouble Against Second Baptist

While Fort Bend Christian Academy put up some runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Second Baptist. Fort Bend Christian Academy were the clear victor by a 10-0 margin over Second Baptist. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Fort Bend Christian Academy also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Ella Romo was incredible, scoring four runs while going 2-for-3. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Evelyn Moore was another key player, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.

Romo wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Fort Bend Christian Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. Fort Bend Christian Academy is a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

The win got Fort Bend Christian Academy back to even at 8-8-1. As for Second Baptist, they dropped their record down to 1-4 with the loss, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fort Bend Christian Academy will challenge Episcopal at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Episcopal's pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so Fort Bend Christian Academy's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Second Baptist, they will take on Lutheran South Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The match will give Lutheran South Academy their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season.
